Memorial 99th Infantry Battalion

This memorial is in memory of the 99th Infantry Battalion. This separate unit that was established in July 1942 was deployed during campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe and consisted for half of Norwegian immigrants. The unit was disbanded on November 11, 1945.
