Fort Charlemont Givet

Fortress dates back to the 16th century. Menno van Coehoorn (Designer Dutch fortifications) fought a battle here. During 14-18 it was shelled by the Germans and heavily damaged. During 1940 it was bypassed by the Germans and later occupied.
