Tucson International Airport

Tucson International Airport was built in 1940 as a civilian airport. In 1941 it became a military airport, which was expanded. The air base was used by the Consolidated-Vultee Aircraft Corp and Air Transport Command. After the war, the airfield was returned to the community.
