Naval Post-Graduate School

Between 1942 and 1945, a Navy pre-flight training school was housed in the Hotel Del Monte. After the war, this hotel and surrounding land were bought by the U.S. Navy, after which the school was expanded. The Naval Postgraduate School has been located here since 1951.
