Memorial Buna-Monowitz Auschwitz III

A sober memorial from 1993, made by Louis Mitelberg, for Auschwitz III also called Buna Monowitz.
Auschwitz III was the last of the three major camps of the Auschwitz concentration camp complex.
The persons made of strips of steel recall the exploitation by the chemical factories of AEG, IG-Farben, Henkel and Siemens.
30,000 deportees, 3,500 of them from France, died here.
N’Oublions Jamais! the bronze plaque reads, "On that we shall never forget."
