Monument Forced Labourers

The memorial is in memory of 600,000 French people who were deported for forced labor in Germany and the 60,000 dead, of which 15,000 were shot, hanged or beheaded

On the base is a plaque engraved with the text
"Here rests an unknown deportee from work victim of treason and Nazi barbarism"

On either side of this pedestal are two urns
The left urn is engraved;
"This urn contains sacred soil of the BITTERMARCK of DORTMUND where 347 deportees of labor were slaughtered"

On the right is an urn engraved with the text;
"This urn contains holy ground of the GROSSBEEREN ARBEITSTRAFLAGER where 800 deportees were exterminated from work"
