Memorial Killed British Soldiers
This memorial is located opposite the driveway to Middachten Castle. It is in memory of two British soldiers who fell on 16 April 1945 Donald Chisholm (32) and William McLaren (23), both of 94 Field Company – Royal Engineers. They were killed by a German booby trap while helping to make the Middachterallee between De Steeg and Ellecom passable again.
