September 11, 1944: a Mustang (42-103749 375th FS/361th FG) crashes in Eerde. The pilot 2Lt J.H. Shortly before, Lougheed had wanted to check a damaged B-24 bomber for damage, but the slipstream had slammed into that aircraft. The plane crashed, killing the pilot.
