Perimeter Route Marker 19: De Tafelberg

This is a marker of the Perimeter Route. On this route you walk in the footsteps of the Allies who tried to liberate this region in September 1944. Follow the route and discover not only impressive locations and historical events, but also personal stories from civilians and soldiers who were present at these places during the Battle of Arnhem.

Hotel De Tafelberg was one of the two most important medical stations in the Perimeter. Operations were performed here even after the operating rooms completely collapsed.
