Soviet Memorial Mauthausen

This memorial commemorates the victims of Soviet concentration camp Mauthausen. It is dedicated to the victims of fascism (1941-1945). It contains the following German text:

Das Sowjetvolk hält hoch in Ehren
das lichte Andenken
an seine Söhne die gefallen sind
im Grossen Krieg
für die Freiheit und das Glück
der Vöker der UdSSR
und der ganzen
fortschrittlichen Menschheit

The Soviet people holds in high honor
the bright memory
of its sons who died
in the Great War
for freedom and happiness
of the peoples of the USSR
and the whole
progressive mankind
