New Museum Sachsenhausen
The Neues Museum is located right next to the entrance of the camp site. Here you can mainly see changing exhibitions, and also books are for sale. Prominently present is the gigantic glasswork "International Resistence against Fascism" by the GDR artist Walter Womacka.This work from 1961 is entirely in line with Socialist Realism and Womacka's gigantic works can still be found in- and against many buildings in the former GDR.
