PAST Building

This building played a role during the Warsaw Uprising between 1-8 and 2-10-1944.

In the first weeks the battle was still undulating up and down and one of the most important conquests by the Polish Liberation Army (Armia Krajowa) was the capture of the PAST building, which housed the Polish telephone company and from the building the Germans shelled the surrounding area.

How proud they still are of this can be seen by the sign of the underground army on the roof and the banners along the building.
