Memorial Plates Slotermeer Mientje ten Dam Bridge

This bridge spans a drainage to the Haarlemmerweg and was named "Mientje ten Dambrug" in 2021. Mientje ten Dam-Pooters (4-1-1917-29-1-2016) was active in the Resistance. The information board placed near the bridge briefly tells her life story.

Until November 30, 2021, this bridge was called the Hentiėtte Pimentel Bridge. It has been moved to Alexander Square near the Tropenmuseum.

In Amsterdam, under the motto "Give Streets a Face", streets are provided with panels with the portrait of the namesake plus a short life course. In this way they want to give streets more personality. The initiator is Paul Fennis.

This is also the case in the Verzetsheldenbuurt in Slotermeer.
