Memorial to the Victims of the La Plante Namur District

Two memorial plaques commemorating the victims of the neighborhood hang on the facade of the Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens church.

Left: "1914-1918
To our heroes - to our martyrs"

The names are listed, as are the place of death and the date.
The martyrs mainly include the victims of August 25, 1914.
Namur was a fortified city by the surrounding forts.
After heavy bombardments, the forts of Dave and Suarlée surrendered on August 25. These bombings also resulted in many civilian casualties.

Right: "1940-1945" with the names of the soldiers, political prisoners,
deportees, resistance fighters and civilian victims.
