Mass Grave French Casualties Villers-Bretonneux

The general cemetery of Villers-Bretonneux contains a mass grave in which French dead from the French-German War (1870-1871) are buried. On 27-11-1870, this small town was taken by the Prussian army after heavy fighting and occupied until the end of the war.

A grave monument damaged by bullet impacts during an unknown wich war can also be found in the same cemetery.
