Tomb General Robert E. Lee

Here lies the tomb of General Robert E. Lee. He was a general in the army of the Confederate States of America. He served as the commander of the Army of Northern Virginia between 1862 and 1865 and was the overall commander of the Confederate armies.

Also interred here is the wife of General Robert E. Lee, Mary Custis Lee, following her passing.
