Here lie over 2,200 victims of various nationalities of the wars 1870-1871, 1914-1918 and 1940-1945.

There was a POW camp in the perimeter in 1870-1871 with 10,000 prisoners, of these, over 140 French died. They are buried near the chapel.

In World War I, a POW camp with 20,000 prisoners of all nationalities. Over 800 did not survive this. The English and Italian victims were buried elsewhere. The French were later buried in their homeland.
