War Memorial Goes

The war memorial in Goes is part of the town hall. The plaque is lower in 2004 added to the monument.
The monument was built to the resistance during the period 1940-1945 and for casualties in the Dutch Indies 1945-1962.

The text on the upper plaque reads:
The clock in this tower will sound
respectful memory
to the townsman who fell
in the resistance 1940-1945.

The text of the plaque there reads:
1945 1962
Dutch Indies
In memory of the casualties from this town.
Consider that they gave their lives while carrying out their duties to the fatherland.
