Eyebrook Reservoir
Eyebrook Reservoir, also known as Eye Brook Reservoir, is a 201.3-hectare (497-acre) site spanning the border of Leicestershire and Rutland in central England, near Corby and Uppingham.
Created by damming the Eye Brook, it was constructed between 1937 and 1940 by Stewarts & Lloyds, under the supervision of Geoffrey Binnie of Binnie & Partners, to supply water to the Corby steel works. During World War II, it served as a practice site for the Dambuster raids in May 1943, simulating the Möhne Reservoir. A plaque now commemorates its role in the operation.
