In the main body of St David's Cathedral are several items commemorating military personnel.

Alec William Campbell
1899-2002
'The Last Australian ANZAC'
and to the memory of
All who have served this country in the Armed Forces
and paid the supreme sacrifice
Lest We Forget"
Born on 26 Feb 1899 in Launceston, Alex enlisted in 1915 at the age of 16 and served as a stores carrier for 2 months in Gallipoli in the 15th Battalion AIF, He was invalid home and discharged in 1916. he died in Hobart on 16 May 2002

"To the Glory of God
and in Loving Memory of Army Nursing Sister
Janet Ella Radcliff
who died in Melbourne on the30th November 1922
Embarking on H.M. Transport Ceelong in1914, she served throughout
The Great War in Egypt, France, England and on the High Seas, with a
gallantry and devotion to duty, which won for her mention in despatches
from Gallipoli and a place of honour in the hearts of all who knew her.
Dulce et Decorum est pro patria mori"
Laid to rest in Brighton General Cemetery, Victoria aged 39.

"This flag is placed in the Cathedral
in memory of
Catherine Mary Roberts
'The Lady of the Flag'
who never failed to carry it at the head of the troops
on their departure and return during the Great War.
Loyal to Church and King"
Catherine, who passed away on 11th Apr 1923, may have lost a son in service during the Second Boer War.
