BEAUFORT Leonard, victim of an impact of a V1 (Vergeltungswaffe 1) in 1944 or 1945. He is also commemorated on the stelae on the town hall of Vaux-sous-Chèvremont.

He was probably one of the victims who, after being captured at Fôret, were thrown into the Meuse River by the Germans at the Ile-Monsin monument to the members of the Armée Secret at Fôret. MEULENBERG Jean, 50, from Soumagne, captured by the Germans during the fighting around Fôret on Sept. 6, 1944, and thrown into the Meuse at the Ile-Monsin[towid]. His body was not found until June 1946. He is also mentioned on the monument to the members of the Armée Secret at Fôret.
