Second First Aid Station Lienden

This farm was built in 1900 and was used from 12 to 13 May 1940 as a so-called "first aid post" for the defence sector of the 46th Infantry Regiment. Due to the advancing Germans, the first aid post opposite the ferry at Rhenen had to be abandoned.

Wounded soldiers could be transported from an aid station located just behind the front line to this aid station by stretcher or vehicle. Each aid station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.
