This national monument was built in 1652 and served as Ransdorp's town hall until 1811. After the annexation by Amsterdam, it briefly served as an assistant secretariat. In 1939, an air raid command post was established in the town hall.
The commander of the Ransdorp Sector (Diemerbrug Group - Ouderkerk Sector) was stationed here.
During World War II, the archives of the Order Service (OD) were housed in the town hall's boiler room.
