Kustbatterij bij Durgerdam
The battery was part of the "Kustbatterij bij Diemerdam (Coastal Battery at Durgerdam)", also known as the Vuurtoreneiland (Lighthouse Island) was completed in 1890 and was part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
The fort was mobilized in 1914-1918.
