Belgian wargraves at Sprimont

The Sprimont cemetery contains a number of Belgian war graves.

Photo 5 shows the family grave of THOMAS René, aged 24, a member of the Armée Secret resistance movement. He was shot along with three other resistance fighters on September 6, 1944, near Banneux. A monument has been erected at the site where they were shot.
