War Memorial Saint-Pierre-en-Port

This monument depicting a French soldier from the First World War in a temple commemorates the military and civilian victims from Saint-Pierre-en-Port during both World Wars. Above the statue of the soldier is a war cross and the text “Saint-Pierre-en-Port a ses Glorieux Morts” (Saint-Pierre-en-Port to its Glorious Dead) is carved into the stone. At the base are marble plaques bearing the names and years of death of the victims.

The monument dates from 1921 but was restored in 2014-2015, during which the statue of the soldier was replaced.
