Commonwealth War Grave Sassetot-le-Mauconduit

The grave of Sub-Lieutenant Donald Charles William MacInnes, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, is located in the municipal cemetery of Sassetot-le-Mauconduit. He served on HMS Swift, which struck a mine at Sword Beach on 24 June 1944. He was one of 53 casualties and his body was probably washed ashore here.
