* LIMBOSCH Freddy
Freddy Limbosch was a Belgian officer during World War II, serving with the Belgian SAS Paratroopers.
He was killed on 8 September 1944, while attempting to contact the Allies from his base at Jongemanshoeve in Peer. He encountered the German resistance and was killed.
* BEAZAR Gustaaf
Gustaaf Beazar was a Captain-Commander of the Secret Army, Zone Colonel Maaseik-Neerpelt, and a Sergeant-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie.
He was arrested on 10 September 1944, in the woods near Rotem (Limburg). Members of the Maaseik sector of the Secret Army had gathered there, awaiting the arrival of the Allies.
He was the first to be executed on 12 September 1944, in Heer, Limburg (Netherlands). Ten other Belgian resistance fighters and an unidentified Russian followed one by one.
