Memorial with the following text: “ON 11 SEPTEMBER 1944 PEER WAS LIBERATED BY THE IRISH GUARDS:
8th Rifle, 23rd Hussars, 1st Herefords and 2nd File and Forfar Regiments, units of the 29th Armoured Brigade and 159th Infantry Brigade as well as Belgian paratroopers (SAS)
