Memorial Coburg

At the "Am Glockenberg" cemetery, a memorial stele and plaque stand among the vegetation on the side.

The stele reads:
"In memory
of our fallen and deceased comrades
of the former German Afrika Korps
Africa 1941-1943
District Comradeship Coburg"

The plaque reads:
"National Team
Franco-Borussia
To their fallen"
The Franco-Borussia fraternity is the oldest student association in Coburg, founded in 1894. It is a platform for contacts and friendships between students and academics. The association is politically neutral and open to all faiths and nationalities. Only men are admitted.
