During the May days of 1940, the command post of the 1st Company, 3rd Battalion, 33rd Infantry Regiment was located in this farmhouse, named "De Cromme Maen," from May 11 to May 12.
Prior to this, 1-III-33 R.I. was stationed in Wadenoijen. On May 12, 1940, at approximately 6:15 PM, they marched towards Ingen. The new command post was established there in the commandery.
The commander of this unit was Captain G.J.A. Bartels.
