Stelling van Amsterdam - Boerensluis
Before 1879, a wooden lock was built, with a sluice gate on the north side added in 1896 as a flood protection measure. In 1898-1899, the wooden lock was replaced by the current stone version, with an improved sluice gate in 1900. The lock is located on the Markervaart canal opposite Marken-Binnen, near the Welsloot and Marksloot canals in the polder. It was closed in 1984, collapsed but still visible. It was restored in the autumn of 2023.
