Command Post Lieutenant Colonel G. Land

This is the former office of the Dericks en Geldens brickworks.

On the evening of May 10, 1940, this office temporarily served as the command post of Lieutenant Colonel G. Land. He was the commander of the 26th Infantry Regiment, tasked with defending the positions along the Maas-Waal Canal.

During the withdrawal from the positions along the Maas-Waal Canal, Lieutenant Colonel G. Land arrived at this office via Ewijk and Afferden. After a short stay, he and his unit moved on.
