Command Post III-24 R.I.
From approximately 12:00 noon on May 11, 1940, until approximately 5:00 PM on May 12, 1940, the command post of the 3rd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, was located in this building, the former town hall of Beusichem.
III-24 R.I. was in position near Druten on May 10, 1940. They received the order to withdraw there around 3:30 AM on May 11, 1940.
On May 13, 1940, III-24 R.I. was deployed at Grebbeberg.
This unit was commanded by Major J. de Kruyff.
