Memorial of the Resistance Château d'Ostin

Near the entrance to the avenue leading to the Château d'Ostin stands a monument commemorating the resistance fighters arrested on 17 August 1944.

"Here were arrested on 17 August 1944
General Roger LIBBRECHT, Commander of Zone IV AS,
Lieutenant Jacques ROBIN, Second Officer
Charles de RADIGUES DE CHENNEVIERE, Relay
GEORGES CLERINX, their host.

Arrested on the same day in Vedrin
André SCHAEPDRIJVER, radio operator,
Abbé Edmond SERVAIS, priest in Vedrin,
and his brothers Gaston SERVAIS and Georges SERVAIS.
They all died in German concentration camps.
