War Memorial Cambrin

Unveiled on May 9, 1926, in memory of the 26 inhabitants of Cambrin who died during the First World War.
It is an exact replica of Bartholdi's design for the Statue of Liberty in New York.
On the pedestal is the inscription: "The Municipality of Cambrin – To its children – Died for France."
At the bottom is a citation the municipality received in the Military Order from the War Department: "The municipality was partially destroyed by bombardments. For its courageous conduct under the bombardments, its grief, and the suffering of its population, the municipality deserves the recognition of the French State."
