German War Graves Haubourdin

The German military cemetery was established by German troops in 1915, initially as a field cemetery but later expanded to include those from field hospitals.

Around 250 died in 1915, with around 400 burials in 1916, and finally, during the "Spring Offensive" of 1918.

Accessible via the municipal cemetery, it contains the remains of 1,000 German and 3 Russian casualties from World War I, 631 of whom were buried in a common grave.
The memorial hall was built in 1933 from red sandstone from the Vosges.
