War Memorial Kirchheim unter Teck

This monument, in the form of a bronze statue of an old warrior in front of a wall bearing the names of the victims, commemorates the residents of Kirchheim unter Teck who lost their lives during both World Wars.

The pedestal of the statue bears the inscription:

'EHRE UND DANK
DENEN DIE FÜR
UNS IHR LEBEN
GABEN

1914 – 1918
1939 – 1945'

(HONOUR AND THANKS TO THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US 1914 – 1918)

The names of the soldiers who died during the Second World War are inscribed on bronze plaques affixed to the ground on either side of the monument.
