War Memorial Gersten

A memorial consisting of three concrete elements has been erected in the cemetery in the town of Gersten. A large statue of Jesus Christ crucified and an inscription on the pedestal reading “Christ the King” “thy kingdom come.” Two crosses, one with the inscription 1914-1918 and the other 1939-1945. They represent the victims who died in both World Wars. On the left side is a concrete plaque with an inscription, but it is no longer entirely legible due to wear and tear.
