German War Graves Malmedy

The municipal cemetery in Malmedy contains various German war graves and cenotaphs from both World Wars.

These include:

GABRIEL Henri (Heinrich), age 19 !, musketeer, killed in action on November 23, 1917, in France, northeast of Arras, at Oysi-le-Verger.

GABRIEL Alfons, age 23, private, died of his injuries in a field hospital on May 4, 1943, in Poland.

KINON Fritz, age unknown, Ersatz Reservist, killed north of Arras in France on February 7, 1916, buried in Neuville-St-Vaast (France).

NAILIS Joseph, age 28, killed in action in Russia on November 9, 1943.

LUXEN Alfons, age 21, private, killed in action in Trigubowa, Belarus on November 5, 1943, where he is still buried.

LUXEN Fernand, missing in Russia, no further details known.

LUXEN Franz, age unknown, killed in action on April 13, 1915, in France, buried in the cemetery of Servon-Melzicourt (France).

LUXEN Jean, age 26, killed in action in Russia on November 1, 1942.

SCHUMACHER Eduard, age 23, killed in action in France on November 1, 1914. Grave location unknown.
