This memorial, in the shape of a pillar topped with a Gallic rooster, stands in the center of Aveluy. The inscriptions 1914-1918 commemorate “The Great War.” At the bottom are plaques bearing the names of soldiers and civilian victims of both World Wars, as well as the name of one soldier who died during the Algerian War and another who fell during the First Indochina War.
