Common grave of Captains Hugo Von Hofstetter zu Plazol and Albin Oertel

Existing grave in Goersdorf, of two German soldiers involved in the Battle of Woerth-Froeschwiller.
The stele was surmounted by a stone cross that has now disappeared.

Captain Hugo von Hofstetter zu Plazol of the 11th Bavarian Infantry Regiment von der Tann,
born on 6 April 1822, and died on 6 August 1870, during the Battle of Woerth.

Captain Albin Oertel of the 11th Bavarian Infantry Regiment von der Tann,
born on 4 April 1829, and died on 6 August 1870, during the Battle of Woerth.
