Common Mass Grave with Cross 1870-71

Existing mass grave in Woerth, containing the remains of an unknown number of French and German soldiers,
Who were involved in the Battle of Woerth-Froeschwiller.

In Woerth cemetery, there are three large mass graves with identical stone crosses marked 1870-71.
They are located just a few meters apart.
A total of 320 French and German soldiers from the 1870-71 war are believed to be buried there.
