Remains Camp Jawischowitz

Camp Jawischowitz was a satellite camp of Auschwitz concentration camp and existed from 15 August 1942 to 19 January 1945. The inmates had to work in the mines. Those who were not able to work anymore were transported to Auschwitz to be murdered. More than 1800 inmates were killed that way.

The picture is of a remaining barrack (the bath-house). It is renovated recently. There is also an appealing memorial.
