Commonwealth War Graves Borculo

The ten Commonwealth war graves are located in a small memorial park in a prominent position facing Borculo General Cemetery entrance. Eight Royal Air Force and two Royal Canadian Air Force crew members are buried here. They all died on the 6th of September 1941 in crashes with Wellington X9767 of 75 squadron and Whitley Z6824 of 77 squadron.

Behind the headstones is this memorial with the text:
R.A.F.
ZIJ VIELEN OPDAT WIJ ZOUDEN LEVEN
THEY THAT WE SHOULD LIVE
6-7 SEPTEMBER 1941
