Memorial Mosquito Nightfighter Fighter Blundeston
This memorial is dedicated to the two American crew members - Lt Francis Joseph Black (pilot) and Lt. Thomas Newkirk Aiken (observer) - of a Mosquito Nightfighter that was mistakenly shot down by friendly AA fire on 14 November 1944. The Mosquito was in pursuit of a V1 flying bomb.
