Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance

The Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance (DÖW) in Vienna was founded in 1963 by former resistance fighters. Besides a museum the centre manages an archive with more than 350 meters of shelf space, filled with documents about the resistance and the persecution and expulsion of the Austrian Jews. There is also a library with more than 44,000 books. The most important research themes for the Documentation Centre are: resistance and persecution (1934-1945), Nazi crimes (especially the Holocaust), exile and right-wing extremism after 1945.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
