Liberation Monument Sainte-Mère-Eglise

"Signal Monument" on the village square, to the memory of the paratroopers of the two Airborne Divisions who liberated the District of Sainte-Mère-Eglise on 6 June 1944. Similar monuments adorn the site of the five Landing beaches; namely Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno & Sword.
