Prison Saint-Paul Lyon

Klaus Barbie was held in this prison following his arrest in 1983. During his trial in 1987, Barbie asked to be returned to his cell here, claiming that his extradition from Bolivia had been illegal.

Plaques on the exterior wall commemorate wartime executions at this location.
