Memorial Abduction Heinrich Kreipe

This memorial has been erected in memory of the abduction of Heinrich Kreipe. Heinrich Kreipe had been abducted 26th April 1944 by the Cretan Resistance and Greek SOE-agents. Kreipe became prisoner of war. After the Second World War he were released. Hij met his kidnappers in a Greek TV-show in 1972. In 1976 he died.

This barbed wire monument was designed by sculptor Manolis Tzobanakis.
